Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Clear Creek's 18th in Last 21 Outings

There's no place like home for Clear Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 54-48 win over the Deer Park Deer on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-26 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Deer Park lost, don't look at Erin Goodson. Despite the final result, she posted three points in addition to eight steals, six assists, and five rebounds. That's the most boards Goodson has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Harms, who had ten points.

Clear Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 21 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Deer Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.

Clear Creek will head out to take on Clear Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Deer Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clear Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clear Brook knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Deer Park likes a good challenge.
