Decorah-North Winneshiek had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Decorah-North Winneshiek took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-14.

Looking ahead, Decorah-North Winneshiek will challenge North Fayette Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie du Chien, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on September 11.
