The Blanchester Wildcats couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 65-20 loss at the hands of Hillsboro on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Blanchester in their matchups with Hillsboro: they've now lost six in a row.

Hillsboro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Peighton Bledsoe out in front who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Tylee Davis was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.

Blanchester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hillsboro, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Blanchester will be playing at home against Williamsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hillsboro, they will head out on the road to face off against Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
