Soccer Game Preview: Everett vs. Medford

The Everett Crimson Tide will head out on the road to face off against the Medford Mustangs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Everett didn't have quite enough to beat Somerville and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Medford came up short against Chelsea on Tuesday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Medford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Chelsea are ranked 71st).

Everett has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-5 record this season. As for Medford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-2.

Everett beat Medford by a goal in their previous matchup back in September, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimson Tide since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
