Recap: Eastside Eagles vs. Greer Yellow Jackets
The Eastside Eagles lost against the Greer Yellow Jackets back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eastside fell 48-37 to Greer. Eastside has not had much luck with Greer recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Eastside saw an underclassman step up: Kaylan Hickman scored seven points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Hickman hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristen Mcbride, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Eastside's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3. As for Greer, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside will take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
