Baseball Game Preview: Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks vs. Tempe Buffaloes

The Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks will square off against the Tempe Buffaloes at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Sunrise will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Desert Sunrise is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Cortez 18-6 on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Golden Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Isaac Sanchez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Desert Sunrise is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4-1 otherwise. Sanchez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Desert Sunrise got a massive performance out of Aaron Sanchez, who scored three runs and stole six bases while going 1-for-1. Ivan Zamoran was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tempe was not the first on the board last Thursday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Coronado as they made off with a 19-9 victory. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Desert Sunrise's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5-1. As for Tempe, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
