Soccer Game Preview: Bartlett vs. Dimond

Bartlett hasn't had much luck against Dimond recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Golden Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Lynx at 2:00 p.m. Bartlett has given up an average of 9.8 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bartlett is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Chugiak, who was ranked third at the time (Bartlett was ranked 23rd). The Golden Bears lost 13-0 to the Mustangs on Thursday.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Dimond made sure to put some goals up on the board against Bettye Davis East Anchorage on Friday. They never let the Thunderbirds get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Dimond might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by four goals or more this season.

Dimond's win bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Bartlett might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Dimond in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Golden Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
