Basketball Recap: East Bladen Takes a Loss

East Bladen extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 68-31 defeat at the hands of the North Brunswick Scorpions. The Eagles were down 49-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

As for North Brunswick, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Jack Baker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kane Jenrette, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and seven steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Bladen will take on Heide Trask at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for North Brunswick, they will face off against South Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
