Baseball Recap: Red Oak Comes Up Short

Red Oak lost against Wilburton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell 8-4 to the Diggers. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly four runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Red Oak and nudges their season record down to 11-5. As for Wilburton, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Red Oak will take on Cameron at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 4.1, the Yellow Jackets 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Wilburton, they will face off against Wister at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Diggers surely won't give up without a fight.
