Baseball Recap: Lennard Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Lennard had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Wharton Wildcats by a score of 5-3. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Lennard got a good showing from Jv Brennick, who didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Lennard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was R.J. Torres, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Lennard will be playing in front of their home fans against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wharton, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Sickles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
