Falls Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-2 to the Research Triangle Raptors. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Firebirds couldn't quite close it out.
Falls Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Research Triangle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.
Falls Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Research Triangle, they are on the road again on Monday to play River Mill at 4:00 p.m. River Mill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.
