Recap: Meadowcreek Mustangs vs. Duluth Wildcats
The Meadowcreek Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Duluth 54-49. That's two games in a row now that Meadowcreek has lost by exactly five points.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emanuel Befekadu, who scored 12 points. Befekadu continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Damari Wright was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meadowcreek dropped their record down to 5-14 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Duluth, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Berkmar the next time they take the court. Meadowcreek will head out to face Berkmar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Duluth will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
