Softball Recap: Pine Forest Wins Going Away Against E.E. Smith

While Pine Forest put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for E.E. Smith. Pine Forest blew past E.E. Smith 17-0. Considering the Trojans have won four matches by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aaliyah Roche made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Mya Harris was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Neely, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Pine Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

The win got Pine Forest back to even at 5-5. As for E.E. Smith, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
