Basketball Recap: Spurger Comes Up Short

Spurger lost a heartbreaker to Hull-Daisetta when they met back in February of 2019, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Spurger Pirates fell 42-30 to the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats. The Pirates have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Spurger's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hull-Daisetta, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spurger will take on Burkeville in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hull-Daisetta and Goodrich will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
