Recap: Garden County Eagles vs. Potter-Dix Coyotes
The Garden County Eagles waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They skirted past Potter-Dix 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Garden County has posted yet this season.
Garden County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Fornander out in front who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Fornander continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Karma Peterson, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Garden County's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Potter-Dix, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
Garden County will take on Leyton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leyton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Potter-Dix, they will head out on the road to square off against Prairie at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Potter-Dix in their respective states (Prairie is ranked 95th in Colorado, while Potter-Dix is ranked 236th in Nebraska).
