Volleyball Recap: Belleview Comes Up Short

Belleview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-11, 25-12.

Sarah Towry paced Belleview's offense, picking up five kills. Towry got some help from Addison Torres and her six assists. Torres was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

IVA FEARON was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six aces and five digs. What's more, she racked up 31 assists, the most she's had over her last 11 contests.

Belleview's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Belleview will challenge South Sumter at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they will square off against Countryside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
