Recap: Spruce Timberwolves vs. West Mesquite Wranglers
The Spruce Timberwolves lost against the West Mesquite Wranglers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Spruce received a tough blow as they fell 37-19 to West Mesquite. Spruce has struggled against West Mesquite recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Spruce lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mesoulay Williams, who scored eight points. Williams scored a full 42.1% of Spruce's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tionnie Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Spruce's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for West Mesquite, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.
Spruce will be home for the holidays to greet Adams at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Adams is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for West Mesquite, they will head out on the road to face off against Poteet at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Poteet presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Mesquite in Texas (Poteet is ranked 467th, while West Mesquite is ranked 1333rd).
