Baseball Game Preview: St. Augustine Catholic Wolves vs. Benson Bobcats

St. Augustine Catholic is 0-5 against Benson since February of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The St. Augustine Catholic Wolves will take on the Benson Bobcats at 4:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, St. Augustine Catholic came up short against Desert Christian and fell 6-1. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Augustine Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonny Samaneigo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Benson can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Thatcher 8-6.

Benson's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for St. Augustine Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

St. Augustine Catholic suffered a grim 19-5 defeat to Benson when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can St. Augustine Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
