Basketball Recap: Wiggins Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Wiggins and Denver Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wiggins had to settle for second. The contest between the Wiggins Tigers and the Denver Christian Thunder didn't end well, with the Wiggins Tigers falling 63-49. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Wiggins still got an impressive performance from Kennedy Kerr, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Kerr a new career-high in rebounds. Karsyn Kerr was another key player, going 5-for-8 on her way to 11 points.

It was another big night for Natalie Bohannon, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 17 points and six boards for Denver Christian. Bohannon's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamiree Fuller, who posted ten points and three steals.

Wiggins' loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Denver Christian, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 26-1.

Wiggins wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-35 defeat against Colorado Springs Christian on the 15th. As for Denver Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 54-32 loss against Resurrection Christian on the 15th.
