Softball Recap: Peak to Peak Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Peak to Peak kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 18-9 to the Valley Vikings. The Pumas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Haley Haskins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. Grace Trasky was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Peak to Peak will square off against Rocky Ford at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Holyoke at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
