Basketball Recap: Immokalee Find Success

Immokalee posted their closest victory since January 12th on Friday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 53-51 win from a begrudging Indians squad. They have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Dunbar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobey Babernitch, who posted seven points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of David Church, who earned nine points and four steals.

Immokalee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dunbar, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

Immokalee will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Naples at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Dunbar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-47 defeat against Newsome on the 27th.
