Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Colts vs. Carolina M Mustangs
The Crossroads Christian Colts stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Carolina M 60-37. The victory was nothing new for Crossroads Christian as they're now sitting on five straight.
It was another big night for Elyssa Phillps, who scored 20 points along with seven steals. She hasn't dropped below 20 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Laci Wade, who scored 15 points.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eliana Mah, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Evie Mericle was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Crossroads Christian pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29 points. As for Carolina M, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Crossroads Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carolina M will be playing at home against the Gnomes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Emerson Waldorf comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
