            Softball Recap: Skyline Hawks vs. Central Woodstock Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            If Skyline was riding high  fresh off their  11-1 takedown of Warren County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Skyline took  an  8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Woodstock Falcons on Wednesday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Mackenzie McIntyre was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Skyline saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alice Benson, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
Skyline now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for Central Woodstock, the  victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.
 Coming up, Skyline will face off against Brentsville District at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Central Woodstock,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Central Woodstock Falcons  duke it out with  Clarke County Eagles at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (they 2.5, Clarke County 3.6) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
