Baseball Recap: Norwood Takes a Loss

Norwood extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They lost 10-1 to the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games.

For Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy's part, Ty Yelton was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Joey Shafer, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwood will venture away from home to take on Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they will face off against Little Miami at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
