Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Bernard). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 100-69 win over the Serra Cavaliers. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 532nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory snapped St. Bernard's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-8 record. As for Serra, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

St. Bernard will head out to face off against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Bernard surely won't give up without a fight. As for Serra, they will host Bishop Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Serra is facing Bishop Montgomery at the right time seeing as Bishop Montgomery is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
