Baseball Game Preview: Morro Bay Pirates vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers

For the second straight game, Morro Bay will face off against Pioneer Valley. The Pirates will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Morro Bay will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Morro Bay earned a 7-4 win over Pioneer Valley.

Cruz Wilkinson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Frankie Ainley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Morro Bay pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Pioneer Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.
