Blue Ridge won the last time they faced High Point Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fighting Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Grizzlies 60-19. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-10.

Blue Ridge was led to victory by Opal Maralit and Kaydin Sullivan. Maralit went 7-for-11 en route to 19 points, while Sullivan shot 45% from the field on her way to 11 points along with eight steals and five assists. Those eight steals gave Sullivan a new career-high. Macie Hanley was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points.

Blue Ridge has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 57.0 points this season. As for High Point Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Blue Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-37 victory against Chapman on the 3rd. As for High Point Academy, they will take on Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
