Basketball Recap: Catoctin Takes a Loss

Catoctin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 74-49 to the Middletown Knights. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Knights are ranked 92nd).

Catoctin's loss dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Middletown, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Looking ahead, Catoctin will challenge Francis Scott Key at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middletown has already played their next contest (against Frederick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
