Goessel came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Wakefield Bombers by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bluebirds also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Goessel was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8.

Goessel's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Wakefield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's still a better percentage than their 1-17-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Goessel is set to face off against their familiar foe Peabody-Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wakefield will square off against rival Little River on Tuesday.
