Glenvar suffers seventh straight loss at home

Recap: Glenvar Highlanders vs. James River Knights

This season hasn't been kind to the Glenvar Highlanders, who are still winless after their 11th game. They were dealt a 51-11 defeat at the hands of James River on Friday. Glenvar was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

It was another big night for Caitlin Canada, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals for James River. Canada is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Thompson, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.

Glenvar's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.6 points per game. As for James River, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenvar will take on Patrick County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Patrick County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Glenvar in Virginia (Patrick County is ranked 174th, while Glenvar is ranked 356th). As for James River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Floyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
