Basketball Recap: Front Range Christian Falls to Twin Peaks Classical Academy in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Front Range Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 68-55 to the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Front Range Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Haedan Morton and Zach Woo. Morton dropped a double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds, while Woo shot 44% from the field on his way to 18 points and three steals. Morton has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Martin, who posted eight points and eight boards.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Wurth, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 20 rebounds. What's more, Wurth also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Angel Ortega was another key player, putting up 18 points and four steals.

Looking ahead, Front Range Christian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Union Colony Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against STEM School Highlands Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
