Volleyball Recap: Sheridan Blackhawks vs. Mississinewa Indians

On Thursday, the Sheridan Blackhawks didn't have quite enough to beat the Mississinewa Indians and fell 3-2.

Sheridan took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-15, 16-25, 22-25, 25-15, 15-8.

Mississinewa was led to victory by Jaeli Miller and MaKenna Campbell. Miller had 12 digs and two aces, while Campbell had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Campbell has posted since back in August.

Sheridan's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Mississinewa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheridan will head out to square off against Tri-Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sheridan is facing Tri-Central at the right time seeing as Tri-Central is stuck on a 22-game losing streak. As for Mississinewa, they will venture away from home to take on Southwood at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Southwood sitting on 20 straight wins and Mississinewa on three.
