Baseball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Riverside's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Wildcats on Monday. The Pirates' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Riverside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Crouch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Houston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-14.

Coming up, Riverside will head out on the road to square off against Benjamin Logan at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Houston, they will host Lehman Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
