Football Game Preview: Asbury Park Bishops vs. New Egypt Warriors

The Asbury Park Bishops will challenge the New Egypt Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Asbury Park came up short against Raritan on Friday, falling 43-19.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Egypt). They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 victory over Keyport/Hudson Regional on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The win got New Egypt back to even at 3-3. As for Asbury Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Asbury Park lost to New Egypt at home by a decisive 24-6 margin when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Bishops avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
