If Loudoun Valley was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Broad Run last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell just short of the Musselman Applemen by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Loudoun Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Musselman, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loudoun Valley will take on Woodgrove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Wolverines have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Musselman, they will face off against Hedgesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Applemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
