Lincolnview came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Defiance Bulldogs. Considering the Lancers have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincolnview's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Defiance, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-10 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincolnview will venture away from home to take on Paulding at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Defiance, they will face off against Tinora at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.95 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
