Baseball Recap: Carroll Victorious

While Carroll's victory against Woodward-Granger wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Hawks 2-1. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Carroll's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Woodward-Granger, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Carroll will be playing in front of their home fans against Ballard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bombers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodward-Granger, they will take on Panorama at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
