Volleyball Recap: Newnan Falls to St. Anne-Pacelli in First Game of Season

Newnan had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Newnan actually scored more points across those five sets (103-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 12-25, 12-25, 15-13.

St. Anne-Pacelli found their leader in sophomore Allie Vickery, who had seven digs and two aces.

Looking ahead, Newnan will venture away from home to face off against Heard County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Pike County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
