It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but ALA - Queen Creek had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Deer Valley Skyhawks with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Patriots have won 11 matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brasser Crumpton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Adam Solak was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Max Monsen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
ALA - Queen Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in three consecutive contests.
