Wells and Lake Region are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Warriors will head out to take on the Lakers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Region took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wells, who comes in off a win.

Wells was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gray-New Gloucester last Friday. The Warriors blew past the Patriots 23-10. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Payton Fazzina was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Tardiff, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five runs and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lake Region's offense. They fell 4-0 to Leavitt on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Lakers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wells now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lake Region, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Wells came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Region in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
