Basketball Recap: Cambridge Takes a Loss

Cambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 67-44 to the Ovilla Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1577th, while the Eagles are ranked 714th).

Lyric White continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ovilla Christian, going 9 of 12 to rack up 23 points along with eight assists and seven boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which White has scored at least a third of Ovilla Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Landon Rogers, who posted ten points and four steals.

Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Ovilla Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Cambridge nor Ovilla Christian have any future games scheduled.
