Recap: Skyline Eagles vs. Hunter Wolverines
The Skyline Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Hunter by a score of 58-49 on Monday. The win was just what Skyline needed coming off of a 61-33 loss in their prior matchup.
Cami Groberg continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Skyline's points. Mia Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Hunter saw an underclassman step up: Grace Gallagher scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Pauni, who scored 10 points.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Hunter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Skyline will head out on the road to face off against Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hunter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hillcrest comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
