Volleyball Recap: Cary-Grove Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Cary-Grove won the last time they faced McHenry and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Warriors on their court since October 4, 2022.

While Cary-Grove won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Cary-Grove was led to victory by Morgan Evelo and Kara Dunker. Evelo had 20 assists, while Dunker had 11 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Evelo is now averaging an impressive 12.2 assists per game.

Cary-Grove's victory ended a nine-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-18. As for McHenry, they dropped their record down to 8-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
