Volleyball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Vela Sabercats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabercats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Vela's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-13, 25-16.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-26. As for Vela, they have been performing well recently as they've won 21 of their last 25 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest nor Vela have any future games scheduled.
