Barbers Hill waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 25 straight wins... but they left with 26. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Summer Creek Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in August.

One reason for the win was Barbers Hill's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Kenli Irwin paced Barbers Hill's offense, picking up ten kills. Irwin got some help from Julianne Melancon and her 14 assists. Baylee Foster controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Barbers Hill's win bumped their record up to 39-5. As for Summer Creek, they moved to 20-15 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Barbers Hill will be playing at home against Angleton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Summer Creek, they will challenge Clear Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
