Volleyball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover lost against Mar Vista back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hoover Cardinals fell just short of the Mar Vista Mariners by a score of 3-2.

Hoover started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-23, 15-13.

Hoover now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mar Vista, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will square off against San Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mar Vista, they will head out on the road to challenge Victory Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
