El Campo kept a clean sheet against Columbus on Friday. Everything went their way against the Columbus Cardinals as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Ricebirds, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Columbus with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landon Brooks, Alexander Maya, and Jose Lopez Mirada.

El Campo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five contests. As for Columbus, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Campo will challenge Calhoun at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Campo is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Columbus, they will take on Bay City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
