Trenton has gone 9-1 against Carlson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Marauders at 4:00 p.m. Trenton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Trenton's victory against Huron wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the River Rats on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Brennan Gulliver made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Gulliver wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Talon Vanhovel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Trenton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Carlson had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Riverview on Saturday as they made off with a 9-2 victory. Considering the Marauders have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Trenton's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Carlson, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.
Trenton took their victory against Carlson in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
