Basketball Recap: Mt. Spokane Has No Trouble Against Ridgeline

Mt. Spokane won the last time they faced Ridgeline and things went their way on Friday too. The Mt. Spokane Wildcats put the hurt on the Ridgeline Falcons with a sharp 62-38 win. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Falcons are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridgeline's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Andreas, who posted 18 points. Andreas' evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Pell, who scored ten points and five rebounds.

Mt. Spokane's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Ridgeline, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Mt. Spokane wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-61 win against Central Valley on the 14th. Ridgeline has also already played their next contest, a 77-65 defeat against Sandpoint on the 11th.
