Pueblo County came tearing into Monday's game with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over The Classical Academy Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Blake Swift made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Jonas Chavira looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

Swift wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cohen Glenn, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Pueblo County's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for The Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-6.

As of now, neither Pueblo County nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
